It's all about size: size 35 is a very appreciated size as it is considered a large bag but not as bulky as size 40.

Sellier or retourné ? the Birkin is a Retourné bag (round, casual). However, from 2014 to 2022 Hermès produced Sellier Birkin (more square, formal and chic). Please note, Sellier Birkin are more rare and can cost about 40% more than a classic Retourné Birkin.

Available leather: Togo leather (big grains), Swift (smooth), Epson (fine grains), Box leather (very smooth and glossy). Togo and Epsom and other grained leather tend to scratch less.

The greatest investment: a new Birkin 35 costs 10 200€ for Togo leather. On second-hand platforms they resell at around 20 000€... girl math.
