Sellier or retourné ? the Birkin is a Retourné bag (round, casual). However, from 2014 to 2022 Hermès produced Sellier Birkin (more square, formal and chic). Please note, Sellier Birkin are more rare and can cost about 40% more than a classic Retourné Birkin.

Available leather: Togo leather (big grains), Swift (smooth), Epson (fine grains), Box leather (very smooth and glossy). Togo and Epsom and other grained leather tend to scratch less.

The greatest investment: a new Birkin 25 costs 8600€ for Togo leather and 9000€ for Epsom leather. On second-hand platforms they resell at around 20 000€... girl math.
